Q&A: Kayley Gunner Is Calling All the Shots as a Creator

Kayley Gunner is laser-focused, fully loaded and calling all the shots in her fast-growing adult entertainment career.

With a badass brand inspired by her five-year Army background as a machine-gun-wielding marksman who achieved the rank of sergeant, Gunner brings that disciplined ambition to bear on her content creation and studio-shot performances.

My first year in adult, I worked my ass off and it was definitely a learning stage. My second year has been amazing so far.

“Growing up I always played with the idea in my head to explore the adult industry,” she shared. “I finished my time in service with the military at the beginning of the pandemic and I began camming.”

Thanks to her enthusiastic cam fans, Gunner gained greater confidence in her erotic artistry and entrepreneurial game, deciding to fully commit to the business with determination.

“After my first scene, I was hooked,” she recalled of venturing into studio work. “I wanted to push my potential and see how far I could take my brand.”

Backed by the Motley Models talent agency and a growing fan base that has propelled her higher and faster than an Apache helicopter, Gunner seems poised to dominate the battlefield.

In just two years, she has already starred in more than 100 pro scenes, received a coveted XBIZ Best New Performer nomination, and garnered nearly 150,000 Twitter followers and 115,000 on Instagram, with over 76,000 OnlyFans likes. Not to mention, her Fangear.vip merch is flying off the shelves quicker than a Raytheon Coyote drone. XBIZ: How did the discipline and confidence instilled by the Army influence your approach to this industry?

GUNNER: The Army taught me a lot of things but out of all of them the most important was confidence. I knew if I was going to begin this journey, my content would be out there for everyone to see on the internet forever. I’m not going to half-ass anything, and it shows in my work. When people hear the name “Kayley Gunner,” I want a strong reputation with it.

XBIZ: Discuss a few of your proudest milestones from your first year of studio-shot content and what led you to sign with Motley Models.

GUNNER: My proudest moments weren’t one particular thing. I think I was most proud of my consistency and determination in a business I knew nothing about. When I began to see I was making a career for myself, I decided I wanted to take my work to the next level. Talking with Dave Rock and Ryan Kona from Motley Models, I could tell they genuinely cared about the direction of my brand. We see eye to eye when it comes to booking me for the best quality of work.

XBIZ: Now in your second year, how have you improved as a performer and businesswoman?

GUNNER: My first year in adult, I worked my ass off and it was definitely a learning stage. My second year has been amazing so far. I am at a place where I know how I want my brand to be represented and perceived. I prefer to work with professional companies and people I enjoy being around. My motto this year has been “Quality over quantity.”

XBIZ: Let’s talk about your independently produced content. How do you approach creating, marketing and selling it?

GUNNER: As far as my own content, the creating portion is all about connection. I tend to work with professional people I admire so I can genuinely enjoy my content. The world revolves around social media so the marketing and selling has always been simple. I try to use as many platforms as I can to promote and sell my content.

XBIZ: On the merch side of the biz, share how you work with Fangear.vip to design and monetize custom goods.

GUNNER: Merch has been a great way to connect with my fans on an entirely different level. I am thrilled to have partnered exclusively with Danny Ferretti at Fangear.vip for all my merch, posters and calendars. He has a very easy process to get a merch line started for his models and it’s extremely fulfilling for everyone. I really appreciate that Danny lets me be fully creative with the content. The quality of the merch is fantastic and there are always new items being added to the site. My biggest fans are always excited to get their hands on my newest exclusive items.

XBIZ: What products, digital or physical, sell the best for you and why?

GUNNER: My calendar has to be my No. 1-selling item. The 2022 Gunner calendar was special to me because I had always dreamed of having a tactical style calendar. My other bestselling products would have to be my posters and dog tags. I think the fans really enjoy the tags due to my previous military background. The posters have always been a hit, especially with the option for a personalized autograph. There are endless items so there is something for everyone on Fangear.

XBIZ: How do you market yourself on social media and other platforms?

GUNNER: I try not to put myself in a box. Although I am in the adult industry, my brand can go any direction. I continue to network and make new connections daily, always open to new opportunities. I market myself on social media by staying relevant and being open with my fans. Social media is a fun way to connect and give my fans more of what they want, which is Kayley Gunner.

XBIZ: What directors, execs and talent have most empowered you for greater success?

GUNNER: My agency, Motley Models, has definitely empowered me. I love getting together with everyone at the Motley Manor. They’re all badass women and men that work hard and know how to have fun while doing it. I’m all about making new connections so I love when we have events at the Manor. It’s exciting to be around a wide variety of people in all different industries that come out as well.

XBIZ: Discuss your goals for 2022 and how you hope to grow in your career.

GUNNER: My goals for 2022 are to relocate to Los Angeles so I can be more consistent with pumping out as much content as possible for my fans. I’m staying open to new opportunities and I’m excited to be in the center of it all. The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to see where my brand goes next.
